Virus hits hospital, nursing home

Capital Health says part of the Halifax Infirmary site of the QEII is closed to visitors because of an outbreak of a Norovirus-like illness.

The Birches Nursing Home in Musquodoboit Harbour is closed to outsiders for the same reason.

Symptoms of the Norovirus include sudden onset of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramping.
