Police arrest four in connection with major fraud ring

Regional police say they’ve busted a major fraud ring.

Four people were arrested over the weekend and are now facing 58 fraud-related charges.

Metro Halifax reports investigators believe they were using stolen credit card numbers and other personal information to buy high-volume gift cards.

They were arrested after one of the suspects allegedly swiped a high-end watch from a store in Mic Mac Mall on Saturday.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected.
