Thieves stealing tailgates

RCMP are on the case of a bizarre theft in the Cow Bay and Eastern Passage area.
Police tell News 95.7 someone stole the tailgates off six pick-up trucks all in one night.
Spokesperson Cpl. Joe Taplin tells News 95.7 it’s an unusual situation.
“Well, we get lots of thefts of vehicles, and parts of vehicles, but this is the first time I can recall that tailgates were stolen off a pick up truck, especially six in one evening.”
Taplin says it appears the parts are destined for the black market.
