Man in Camaro takes wild ride

A Dartmouth man is awaiting a court date following a late night car wreck in on the Circumferential Highway.

Police were called to the intersection of Highway 111 and Pleasant Street at midnight last night in response to a report a 2010 Camaro had rear-ended another vehicle.

The Camaro took off before police arrived. It was spotted minutes later at the exit to Portland Street. Witnesses reported the Camaro was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crossed a median and struck a concrete wall.

The Camaro took extensive damage. Police arrived on scene and made an arrest.

A 33-year-old man faces charges of refusing the breathalyzer and failure to stop at the scene of an accident.

No one was seriously hurt but the driver of the car rear-ended by the Camaro complained of neck pains.
