Summer to be hotter and wetter than average: Environment Canada

It’s the first day of Summer and Environment Canada’s top weather guru says we’re in for a warmer than normal July and August.
Sadly though we’ll likely see more rain than normal too.
Dave Phillips says summer has a hard act to follow after our winter and spring.
“Certainly not much of a winter,” he said. “They always say spring is reluctant to arrive in Atlantic Canada, but it hasn’t been this year.”
Atlantic Canada has had some of the warmest temperatures in the entire country this spring.
