English Channel swimmer to conquer Halifax Harbour

Long-distance swimmer Kristin Roe isn’t done with swimming across open bodies of water.
The Halifax woman, who recently swam across the English Channel, has returned home and plans to hold an event on the waterfront this Friday.
She’ll be greeted by friends, family and Mayor Peter Kelly before sharing some details from her overseas experience – and then she plans to swim across the Halifax Harbour.
Her swim across the Channel on July 23 was part of a fundraiser for the Stephen Lewis Foundation and the Nova Scotia Gambia Association.
