Jail guard stabbing was contract job: report

The stabbing of a guard at the Burnside Jail this month apparently wasn’t a random attack.

The Herald reports a high-profile inmate at the facility asked another prisoner to stab Capt. Todd Henwood.

The paper says Henwood and the high-profile inmate reportedly had a run-in earlier this summer.

The guard was stabbed with a pen on Aug. 7 but suffered only minor injuries.

Police charged John Roderick Fraser, 21, with the attack. They say no other charges are expected in the case.
