Family fears missing woman met a violent end

The fear is building for the family of a Halifax area prostitute who hasn’t been seen in over three weeks.
Nadine Ann Taylor, 29, stepped out of her home to make a phone call on July 28th and hasn’t been heard from since.
Police say there’s no evidence Taylor was the victim of foul play, but now her family is wondering if she possibly met same fate avoided by another sex worker earlier this week.
Taylor’s boyfriend Gene Hape tells the CBC he has faith she’ll return safely. But the attempted abduction of a woman on Monday night hits close to home.
The public broadcaster reports that woman is also a prostitute.
She narrowly escaped her kidnapper by leaping from the trunk of his vehicle as it traveled down Old Sambro Road.
Her alleged kidnapper Steven Elliot Laffin, 35, is charged with abduction, forcible confinement, aggravated sexual assault and uttering death threats.
Two months ago Laffin was charged with another violent sexual assault on a sex worker but that case was dropped when the victim failed to appear in court.
