More drivers hit with seven-day suspensions

RCMP charged three people Friday night for driving with a blood alcohol level between .05 and .08.

Two of the drivers were ticketed in Cole Harbour, the third on the 102 highway.

It means those motorists get a seven day driving suspension and demerit points added to their license.

And as an RCMP spokesman points out, the toughest news is the charge goes on the driver’s insurance records, meaning they could be hit with an insurance rate increase later on.
