Two hospitalized after Bedford Highway crash

Two men are in hospital recovering after an accident on the Bedford Highway.

Police say the two men were in a car turning left onto Bayview around 8:30 Monday night.

The car was hit by a truck travelling inbound on the highway and pinned against a power pole.

The jaws of life had to be used to extricate the two men in the car, who were rushed to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Two men in the truck weren’t hurt.

Police are still investigating the accident and there’s no word on charges.
