Mini-van rear-ends Metro Transit bus

The driver of a mini-van that rear-ended a Metro Transit bus was still at large, several hours after the collision.
Police spokesperson Teresa Rath tells News95.7 it happened Wednesday at 3:15pm on Bayers Road near Joseph Howe.
“A van rear-ended a Metro Transit bus and then the driver of that vehicle fled the scene,” says Rath. “We are still investigating at this point.”
An earlier report said two males bailed out of the mini-van after it pulled onto a sidestreet. Rath says only the driver ran off.
