No strike planned at BC Place on Saturday

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – There will be no pickets at BC Place this Saturday.

The BCGEU confirms its members will not be taking job action before, during, or immediately after a game by the Vancouver Whitecaps. It’s the team’s final match of the season, and Fan Appreciation Day.

The union had issued 72-hour strike notice on Tuesday afternoon, which means it could be exercised as early as tomorrow afternoon.

Still threatened are two BC Lions games and the Grey Cup on November 27th.
