Man arrested after attempted robbery in Dartmouth

A 22-year-old man has been arrested after a robbery attempt in Dartmouth Saturday night.

Police say it happened just before 11:30 in the 100 block of Portland Street.

Officers say the victim was accosted by a knife wielding subject who demanded that he turn over a gaming system he was carrying in a bag.

When the victim refused to turn over the item, a struggle ensued and the suspect fled the area empty handed.

Police found the suspect on Victoria Road who is facing robbery and weapon related charges.

The victim was not injured during this incident.
