Man pleads guilty in three 2000 murders in NS

A man from Windsor has confessed to three murders and has been sentenced to life in prison.
Michael John Lawrence, 37, pleaed guilty to first degree murder in the September 2000 deaths of Charles Maddison, Kirk Mersereau and Mersereau’s wife Nancy Christienson.
Lawrence admits he was hitchhiking to Halifax to commit a robbery when Maddison picked him up. They stopped in the Truro area and Lawrence shot the man dead and took his truck.
The body has never been found.
He later went to the Hants County home of former Hell’s Angel Merseraeu and Christienson and helped an accomplice murder them.
Two others are still facing first degree murder charges in the couple’s death.
