Police investigate gas station robbery

The Petro Canada at 231 Herring Cover Road was robbed Saturday night.
Halifax Police say a man wearing a ski mask entered the gas station at around 9 o’clock and demanded cash from the clerk, making a motion to an object inside his jacket.
The clerk handed over some cash and the suspect fled on foot towards Layton Road.
No weapon was seen and no injuries occurred during the incident.
K9 conducted a track recovering some discarded clothing worn by the suspect nearby.
The suspect described as a white man, slim build, 5’6-5’9, 18-25 years of age, wearing a blue ski coat, jeans and black ski mask.
