Nova Scotia man stabbed to death in Alberta.

A Nova Scotia man who moved west to find work has been stabbed to death in Alberta.

RCMP Sergeant Dave Maludzinski, speaking to News95.7 from Jasper, Alberta, says 22-year-old Kenzie John Beaton died after an incident early Saturday morning in a hotel room.

“They were staying in the same hotel and there was a disturbance report to us, and as a result, somebody got stabbed,” said Sgt. Maludzinski

Beaton was flown to hospital in Edmonton and pronounced dead. Beaton is from Mabou in Inverness County.

A 21-year-old Edmonton man who was staying in the room next door has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He remains in custody.
