Man sought after baseball bat attack

Police are searching for a man they say took a baseball bat to another man in Spryfield Tuesday morning.

Constable Brian Palmeter says police were called to Mont and Hillary Streets just before 6:30 a.m.

“When we arrived, the suspect had fled and the victim was taken to hospital with injuries that we describe as significant but non-life threatening,” he explains.

The suspect is described as a white man with a skinny build, possibly bald or with very short hair. He left the area in a newer model dark blue Mitsubishi car.

Police don’t think it was a random attack and anyone with information is asked to call police.
