Laffin sentenced in 2010 murder of Nadine Taylor

The judge called Steven Laffin a ‘psychopath’ as he sentenced Laffin to life in prison with no chance of parole for another 13 years.

Laffin was charged in 2010 with the murder of Nadine Taylor, even though police said at the time her body would probably not be found.

Last month, though, Laffin took police to the woman’s remains in East Chezzetcook and pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.

Laffin was also sentenced to nine concurrent years for kidnapping, unlawful confinement, uttering threats and aggravated in an incident from the same summer as the Taylor murder in which a woman escaped from the trunk of a moving car on Old Sambro Road in Halifax.
