Man faces weapons charges after assault call

A victim hasn’t come forward, but Halifax Police have a Dartmouth man in custody after a call Friday night that a man was being attacked with a baseball bat.

The 41-year-old was arrested after a complaint was called in around 7 p.m.from the Victoria Road area.

A search by officers turned up the suspect who is is facing weapons charges after he was found him in possession of both a bat and a knife.

Anyone with information on the assault is asked to contact police.
