Driver ticketed after hitting pedestrian on Mumford Road

Another driver in the city has been ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Police say a 49-year-old man was hit at the intersection of Mumford Road and Ashburn Avenue in Halifax around 6:30 p.m.

He was knocked to the ground and suffered some bruising, but did not require medical attention.

The 69-year-old man driving the car gave the victim his information and left the scene, but was later located by police and ticketed.
