HRM will continue to enforce the winter parking ban overnight into Tuesday from 1-6 a.m., however they are asking residents to cooperate with snow clearing efforts by finding off-street parking today.
Under Section 139 of the Motor Vehicle Act, vehicles can be ticketed or towed at any time if they are interfering with snow removal.
They say most of today will be making sure roads are passable for public transportation and emergency vehicles.
The city will also be punching holes at intersections for pedestrians, and making sidewalks passable, but they say residents shouldn’t expect bare pavement.
