17-year-old arrested in erratic driving case

HALIFAX – Regional Police have a 17-year-old in custody accused of driving dangerously in Halifax Wednesday afternoon, causing several traffic problems.

Officer stopped a large Chevy Truck with a large trailer on the wrong side of Highway 102 near Dunbrack Street, after several 911 calls reported the erratic driver.

Police said they’ve now opened a, “criminal investigation … that includes reported collisions involving the teen.”

Traffic at some nearby intersections, as well as the MacKay Bridge, were backed up as police blocked off certain routes out of an abundance of caution Wednesday afternoon.

Luckily, police said no one was hurt but charges are likely.
