By Andrew Pinsent

HALIFAX – The price of gasoline in Nova Scotia is expected to rise slightly this week when regulated prices are adjusted at midnight Friday.

News 95.7 predicts gas prices will go up roughly 1.2 cents per litre overnight, with diesel prices also expected to rise by the same amount.

George Murphy of Consumers for Fair Gas Prices says oil prices seem to be remaining steady with production south of the border still unchanged.

Murphy says “fears” U.S. domestic production could increase in the coming weeks is continuing to push oil prices lower, with expectations it could drop to $68 U.S. per barrel from $70 in the coming weeks.
