Spryfield Lions Rink and Recreation Centre undergoing renovations

The Spryfield Lions Rink and Recreation Centre has closed down for renovations.

The planned $950,000 upgrade will include reinforcement of the facility's roof and new lighting in the gym and rink.

Halifax Regional Municipality expects the rink to be closed until the end of August, and the gym to be shut down until the end of September.

The municipality is working on a plan to find alternative programming and facilities during construction.
