Police investigate apparent stabbing in Halifax

Halifax Regional Police are investigating an apparent stabbing.

They say at around noon Monday, patrol officers found a 34-year-old man on Barrington Street, south of Cornwallis, with injuries that are consistent with stab wounds.

He's been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is in its early stages and police don't yet have a suspect description to pass along.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 902-490-5020 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
