Two dead, one injured in Cape Breton house fire

GLACE BAY, N.S. — Two people are dead and one is seriously injured after an early morning fire damaged a home in Glace Bay, N.S.

Cape Breton police responded to the blaze just after 2 a.m. on Brookside Street, where they found two bodies inside the home.

Police say a woman from the residence was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

They say they won’t identify the victims until family members are notified.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.

Police say they are being assisted by the fire marshal’s office.
