The Halifax Mooseheads overcame a four goal deficit to defeat the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in a 5-4 shootout win on Wednesday.

The Titan came out hot against the Herd, scoring four straight goals as Igor Mburanumwe, Donovan Arsenault, Joseph Henneberry and Colby Huggan all found the back of Halifax’s net in the first two periods.

Then the Mooseheads showed up as Mathieu Cataford, Jake Furlong, Jack Martin and Markus Vidicek each lit the lamp in the third period to make it 4-4 and force overtime.

Neither team managed to net a game winner in overtime, resulting in a shootout where the Mooseheads completed the comeback to take it 5-4.

The Mooseheads are back in the Scotiabank Centre on Friday when they welcome the Rimouski Oceanic.
