Diesel prices significantly higher after interrupter clause is implemented

By Steve Gow

Nova Scotians are waking up a big jump at the pump for diesel.

The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board warned on Monday it was planning to use the interrupter clause to change the price of diesel due to shifts in the market price.

At midnight, the cost of that fuel went up nine cents to 168.7 cents per litre.

Gasoline prices were not impacted by the interrupter clause.
