Man facing charges after gun and ammunition seized in Dartmouth

Halifax police conducted a search warrant early this morning at a home in Dartmouth where they found guns and ammunition.

The raid started at around 5:00 a.m. on April 3 at a house in the 100 block of Nadia Drive, near the Shannon Park community. They gained the search warrant in relation to a firearms investigation.

Once inside, officers arrested and charged a man. Police said in a press release this investigation is not related to the recent shootings in Dartmouth or Halifax.

Ronald Crowe, 54, of Dartmouth, is facing charges of:

  • Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
  • Use imitation firearm in offence
  • Uttering threats
  • Possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a firearm contrary to order

Officials are asking anyone with information to contact police at 902-490-5016.
