HALIFAX — RCMP in Nova Scotia have arrested a man who was the subject of a shelter in place order in the Enfield area.

Police had issued an emergency alert, warning residents of an armed and dangerous man Saturday morning.

Police had urged residents to stay inside and lock their doors and windows, and cautioned drivers not to provide rides to anyone asking for one.

Police arrested the man and say there is no longer a threat to the public.

The alert has been cancelled.
