You may remember back in March, Google debuted its documentary on Village Media, one of HalifaxToday.ca's parent companies, at the Google News Initiative Summit at Google Headquarters in Mountain View, Calif.

Well, Village Media's Googling continues today with a nod on the Google.ca home page. The folks at Google call it a Home Page Promo. It's a link to the documentary. It's kind of a big deal.

The video, which already had more than 46,000 views on YouTube as of this writing, explores what happens when a community loses its daily newspaper, and documents Village Media's launch of OrilliaMatters.com.
