Gas prices expected to fall slightly this week

By Dan Ahlstrand

Another small drop in the price for gasoline on the horizon for Nova Scotia.

Our newsroom has gone over the numbers and we are predicting that when prices are adjusted at midnight, they will fall by about a penny per litre.

George Murphy of Consumers for Fair Gas Prices says there is more gas available for sale on the market this week, and that is driving prices down.

“A pretty heavy build in gasoline inventories,” said Murphy. “About 6.8 million barrels of gasoline was added to the market.”

Across the border in New Brunswick, prices fell by 6-10ths of a cent to a new maximum price of 115.3.
