Pedestrian struck Friday evening has died of injuries

Halifax Regional Police say a man who was struck by a vehicle Friday evening has died of his injuries.
It happened at around 5:45 p.m. on Sylvia Avenue in Spryfield.
The 67-year-old man was taken to hospital where he later died.
Police say a 65-year-old man was driving the vehicle, and although the investigation is ongoing, charges are not anticipated in relation to the collision at this time.
This is the second pedestrian fatality in the Halifax area in less than a week.
A 27-year-old woman died of her injuries after being hit Wednesday morning in a crosswalk on Pleasant Street in Woodside.
In that case, a 41-year-old woman who police say was driving has been ticketed for failing to yield.
