Police investigate convenience store robbery

Halifax Regional Police are investigating after a business was robbed early Tuesday.

Officers were called to the Needs convenience store on Herring Cove Road at Osborne at 1:45 a.m.

They say a man with a weapon demanded money, then ran off with cash and cigarettes.

The suspect is described at white, around 32 years old, 5'7″ with a thin build and light brown hair in a ponytail.

He had been wearing a grey T-shirt, blue pants, black shoes and a blue medical mask.

Anyone with information or video from the area is asked to call 902-490-5020 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
