Woman facing DUI charges after single-car rollover

A 27-year-old woman is facing several charges after a single-vehicle crash in Musquodoboit Harbour that left another woman in critical condition.
RCMP say the crash happened just after midnight on Feb. 12 when the grey 2000 Sunfire went around a curve on highway 7 headed westbound.
The driver lost control and the car left the road, rolling over several times before coming to rest on the passenger side.
The driver and another 27-year-old woman in the passenger seat weren’t hurt. A 21-year-old woman in the back seat was thrown from the car and landed under the front passenger side fender.
Fire crews freed the victim and she was rushed by ambulance to the QEII where she remains in critical condition.
RCMP say the driver will appear in court on April 8 facing charges of impaired driving causing bodily harm and operation with a blood alcohol level above 0.08.
