Police taser robbery suspect

A robbery suspect was tasered by police in Dartmouth yesterday.
Police say a man entered an apartment on Lakecrest Drive yesterday evening saying he was armed with a gun and demanding cash.
Staff Sergeant Don Fox says police encountered the accused in the hallway.
“At that time it was noted he had a bulge in his side pants pocket, and he refused to show his hands while continuing to move forward towards the officers,” Fox said. “The officers subsequently tasered him and he was taken into custody with minor injuries.”
The man was treated for his injuries on scene.
An East Preston man is facing a number of charges including robbery with a knife.
