A newly-formed group is hoping to attract Nova Scotians fed up with taxes. Taxed Enough Nova Scotians, or TENS, is holding a meeting Tuesday and it’s inviting anyone angry over taxes to attend.
“I knew we paid a lot of taxes, but to be honest I didn’t actually have the numbers,” says TENS spokesperson Mark L’Ecuyer. “I did some research then I realized in all the major categories we’re in the top-three.”
He says TENS is a non-partisan organization.
“I myself do not belong to any political parties and our group is open to people of all political persuasions,” says L’Ecuyer.
He says anyone unhappy with how much they’re taxed is invited to the meeting tonight. It starts at 8 p.m. at Tom’s Family Restaurant in Lower Sackville.
