Convention centre developer looking for public feedback

The province has announced that developer Joe Ramia will be accepting public feedback on the design of the new convention centre.

Infrastructure Renewal Minister Bill Estabrooks said Thursday that public consultation was part of the requirements for the winning contract.

He tells Metro Ramia is free to decide how he’ll gather input but open houses, a website and toll-free phone number are all possibilities.

Estabrooks says he expects Ramia to take the public feedback seriously, but says it’s the developer who has the final say on the design.
