HRM councillor worried about missing equipment

A Halifax regional councillor says something fishy is going on at city hall operations.

Linda Mosher says she’s heard city equipment, such as trucks, computers and digital cameras are going missing.

The Chronicle-Herald reports Mosher is also alleging staff favoritism and nepotism. She says overtime seems to be given to those staff favourites, when other people aren’t getting their fair share.

Mosher is suggesting staff at the city’s new auditor general’s office be increased to catch what she calls wasteful spending and other issues involving public money.
