Construction site raided: Equipment stolen

An unknown amount of construction equipment has been stolen from a construction site in the 400 block of Larry Utek Blvd.
Halifax Regional Police say they’ve met with a contractor who told them a multi-unit building under construction was broken into as well as several storage sheds on site and the surrounding area.
A large amount of construction equipment was stolen but it’s unknown how much was taken at this time because a lot of the contractors weren’t working Saturday.
It’s suspected the break and enter and thefts occurred between 7 o’clock Friday evening and 7 o’clock Saturday morning.
Investigators are urging anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in this area to contact them at 490-5016 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
