Blue Nose International Marathon runs through Halifax

Organizers say over 7,000 people are expected to run through the streets of Halifax Sunday in the Blue Nose International Marathon.
Most will be competing in the ten kilometre, five kilometre and half marathon distances, however organizers say between 400 and 500 will undertake the full marathon.
The weather should also co-operate with variable cloudiness shielding runners from the sun and a comfortable temperature around 13 degrees.
There will be some traffic headaches from the run, so make sure you plan ahead if you’re driving around the city.
The big closure will be the Macdonald Bridge which will be closed from 9am to 11:30am to all cars, but the pedestrian and bicycle lanes will still be open.
Then, from 11:30am to 12:30pm the bridge will open one lane to cars each direction, but the Barrington Street ramp will be closed from 9am until 12:30pm.
On Saturday, 3,000 young people participated in the 4.2 kilometre youth run.
