Small drop expected in N.S. gas prices

The gas price prediction isn’t as clear-cut as usual this week.

News 95.7 is predicting regulated regulated prices will fall by about a penny tonight, and possibly a little more.

After bouncing around earlier in the week, wholesale and crude prices fell sharply Wednesday, as did the loonie.

That led to a drop in unregulated gas prices of 1.3 cents a litre overnight. Gas is selling for about $1.23 in Toronto and $1.21 in Ottawa today.

In New Brunswick, where prices are regulated, gas prices went up by 1.9 cents a litre overnight. Diesel prices also climbed by three cents a litre.
