Yet another study is touting the widespread health benefits of drinking green tea.
Researchers in Japan found elderly adults who regularly drink green tea may more agile and independent than their peers.
Scientists looked at nearly 14,000 people over the age of 65 for three years.
They found those who drank at least five cups of green tea a day were one third less likely to develop disabilities than those who had less than one cup.
Researchers have been unable to determine exactly why the results were produced, making causality difficult to infer.
The study is published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
