Police nab suspect in Clayton Park B&E

One man was in custody and another was the subject of a K9 search in Clayton Park after an early morning attempted break-and-enter today.

Halifax Regional Police were called to the 100 block of Chipstone Close around 3 a.m. and quickly arrested one man.

“We believe there is a second suspect involved, but we have zero information on the person,” Staff Sgt. Lindsay Hernden told News 95.7 at 5 a.m. “Basically he’s a ghost at this time and we’re not getting cooperation from the person in custody. He’s not even admitting to the fact that there is a second person. But our witness believed that they saw two (people).”

Police are not releasing any information about the man in custody and say they do not have a description of the second suspect yet.
