TSB investigating deaths of N.B. fishermen

The Transportation Safety Board has been called in to investigate the capsizing of a New Brunswick lobster boat that claimed three lives on the weekend.
Three men died Saturday morning when their boat hit a sandbar near Tabusintac, which is off northeastern New Brunswick. Their names have not been released.
Five search and rescue teams, an underwater recovery team and a platoon from CFB Gagetown took part in the recovery effort. The body of a 23-year-old man from Tracadie-Sheila was recovered Saturday. The bodies of the other two men, a 35-year-old man from Tabusintac and a 32-year-old man from Brantville, were found Sunday afternoon.
In February, five young Nova Scotia fishermen died when their boat, the Miss Ally, capsized during a violent storm more than 100 kilometres off the province’s southwest shore.
