Another pedestrian hit

RCMP say they are investigating after a 19-year-old pedestrian was struck by a sport utility vehicle at an intersection in suburban Halifax.
Police say the young woman was crossing Cole Harbour Drive to Forest Hills Parkway at a traffic light controlled intersection around 8:35 p.m. Thursday when she was hit.
She was taken to hospital for a precautionary assessment.
The Mounties say weather conditions were poor at the time of the accident. Police have not laid charges and say the 79-year-old driver is cooperating with the investigation.
