Hammonds Plains woman charged with cannabis distribution

By Meghan Groff

A search of a home in Hammonds Plains and cannabis dispensary in the Annapolis Valley has resulted in charges for a 34-year-old woman.

RCMP say they seized cash, cheques, CBD oils, cannabis, individually packaged shatter and cannabis edibles at the store in Middleton last Thursday.

They say they also seized cash, hashish, mushrooms, shatter, CBD oil and cannabis from the home.

Officers also searched a storage locker in Dartmouth, but didn't seize anything from that location.

Heidi Amber Chartrand of Hammonds Plains has been charged with two counts of possession of cannabis for the purpose of distribution and two counts of breach of recognizance.

She's been released from custody following a court appearance in Digby. Her next court date is scheduled for Oct. 9.
