Man faces 62 charges in connection to thefts across HRM

Halifax Regional police have laid 62 charges against a man in connection to a slew of thefts across HRM.

Police say they received 14 reports of thefts between Feb. 10 and April 12 at multiple retail locations where the suspect would steal merchandise and flee on foot.

According to HRP, the stolen items are estimated to be worth thousands of dollars.

The suspect was scheduled to attend court on March 23, but did not show up which resulted in a warrant being issued for his arrest.

Brandon Germaine Rogers, 35, was arrested Wednesday evening and was scheduled to appear in provincial court on Thursday to face a laundry list of charges.

The charges include 14 counts of theft under $5,000, 13 counts of possession of property obtained by crime, 34 counts of breaching a court order and one count of failing to appear.
