Police charge driver for going 58 km/h over speed limit in Beaver Bank

Regional police have charged a driver following a stunting incident in Beaver Bank on Monday.

Shortly before 8 a.m., an officer caught a vehicle travelling at 118 km/h in a 60 km/h zone on Windgate Drive.

Police said the vehicle crossed the double centre line and passed two other vehicles before being pulled over.

A 37-year-old man was ticketed for stunting and for an unsafe lane change.

Police seized his vehicle and suspended his licence for seven days.

The fine in Nova Scotia for stunting is $2,422.50 and six points are assigned to the driver’s record.
