Mooseheads’ regular season finale weekend opens with loss to Regiment

Quinn Kennedy scored the lone goal for the Halifax Mooseheads Friday night as they fell 6-1 to the Newfoundland Regiment.

The Regiment controlled the first period, taking a 3-0 lead after Benjamin Veitch, Liam Arsenault and Louis-François Bélanger all found the back of the Halifax net.

Newfoundland added to their lead at 11:19 of the second period as Dawson Sharkey beat Nick Cirka. The Mooseheads responded at 13:10 as Kennedy snuck past a Regiment defender and fired a wide open shot past Newfoundland netminder Louis-Antoine Denault.
